#Giving Tuesday got its start in 2012 as a way to bring attention to nonprofit organizations that are helping to make the world a better place. It has also become an unofficial and highly successful kick-off for charitable giving at the end of the year. In 2016, #Giving Tuesday helped raise a record-breaking $168 million in online gifts worldwide!
